For Peyton on her First Birthday!

My sis Julie asked me to make her little girl a birthday dress! I am so honoured that she has asked me to make a dress for such a special occasion. Well I got to work right away and made this adorable little dress. I love how it turned out and I can't wait to see it on the birthday girl:)
It even has a little button for the closure at the back. I wanted to try something different, something extra special. I found this tutorial, on the most part it was pretty good. I will defiantly be making one for miss Lainey.
So I bought a cheap hat for Lainey for daycare and everyday I pick her up I think she looks like such a dork.(is that ok to say about your own child?) Anyways I know she's not a dork it is the dorky hat I bought her. So I decided to make her a cute bonnet for daycare. I used softer colors this time. It looks pretty good on her, now she will be a stylish girl at daycare. She already has been told by many other mom's that she is the best dressed kid at the centre:)

We went to the park this morning. So early we were the only ones there, it was nice we had so much fun!

Peek a Boo Mom!!! omg she is so adorable I could just eat her!

New words of the day, dog and sit! There was another and now I can't remember:( I will when I am less tired.
Night Night as Lainey would say:)

A girl can never have too many dresses:)

I made these dresses tonight, they are made from linen. I made the sleeves a little longer this time, just to switch it up. The backs are a solid linen, same color as the sleeves.
This one is for Morgie! Melis saw one similar and asked me to make it. I was skeptical but it turned out pretty cute. The circle is a pocket that goes right through, left to right. Can't wait to see it on her.
Do you remember this one I made months ago for Lainey. I made it out of one of my old shirts. It is even more adorable on her.
 Bahaha look at her face......
This is the one I made last week! Looks pretty good, a little long but it will be good for the fall.
 I just love this kid!!!!

Today I caved

I bought Lainey a littler climber/slide! You should of heard her when she got up from nap today and I took her outside. Shrieks of joy! She had so much fun on it!
Please do not judge her tacky shoes! Lainey has really narrow feet and I had to go buy some more fitting shoes. Totally sucks because I bought so many cute ones on line:(
Enjoying an afternoon blueberry smoothy with mom.
A few dresses. This on is my favourite. I made little pockets, inspired from a pic melis showed me.
 Super cute fabric.
I like all the shades of blue in this fabric.
I love when I am downloading photos and I find ones Trev took of him and Lainey. Just love them both SO much! (yes thats laundry behind them, don't judge, it will get you no where:))

Vacay Part 2

Day 2
Started with Lainey and I getting up at the crack of dawn and heading to the beach. She was so happy, the air was crisp and the only sound we heard was her laughter.

 I love that sleepy face.
Once Daddy got up we had out breakfast outside. It was so peaceful and perfect.

Then we headed to another resort for our second night. After spending our first night at the Sandy Lodge, we knew nothing was going to live up to it.
But we had a good time.....Lainey might of had too much garlic in that mouth full of hummus. lol:)
But it didn't stop her for going back for more.
This is Lainey's way of saying, "thanks for offering me a crib but I will sleep her" lol
She didn't go down easy that night. I guess she knew mom and dad where eating chocolate, which she also enjoyed.
And that we were drinking some wine we picked up at Jackson Tigger, she did not try any of this.
Day 3
The next day we played around on our patio. She looks so long and old in this photo.

 Our view from our balcony.

She thinks she is so funny when she lays down and says "night night"
Whenever you ask Lainey where something is and she doesn't know, she does this adorable gesture.
Her face is priceless. She is so proud to be walking with her daddy.
I will never tier of holding her hand and walking, I love it! This picture is from the Mission Hill Winery.

A little dress

I made a little dress for a little lady. This is actually the third time I used this pattern. I really like this pattern and I really like the results. This is a fall dress and I can see it matched with a little cardi, some red tights and some little mary janes, so cute.
This one will not be living in my home:( So sad. My sis asked me to make some dresses for her little one, I thought I had enough material to make 2 but I dont:( I always underestimate how much material a little dress can take. I might have enough for a little skirt:)
Hope you like it!

Conservative.....

Alright so it turned out to be a little long! I guess larger is better, at least I can put it away for spring.
I think it would be way cuter a few inches shorter. Also I need to get some solid onsies. Too much going on in this outfit.
